Internal accounting integration for Isotropic Solutions, Inc.
Isotropic Books Agent connects to our own QuickBooks Online company so our staff can create and maintain accounting records over the QuickBooks API instead of working through the web interface. It handles customers, invoices, bills, and standard reports.
Who can use it
Only Isotropic Solutions staff. There's no sign-up, no customer accounts, and no way for anyone outside the company to use it. It connects to exactly one QuickBooks company: ours.
The application isn't listed on the QuickBooks App Store and isn't available to other businesses.
How it runs
It runs as a scheduled service with no user interface. There's no dashboard to log into. The service wakes on a schedule, does its work against the QuickBooks API, and records what it did. Staff operate it from the command line and read its logs.
What it does not do
It doesn't move money. Recording a bill payment in the ledger is supported; initiating a transfer is deliberately out of scope and the application has no ability to do it.
It doesn't share QuickBooks data with any third party, and it doesn't copy accounting records into a separate database.
